QUALITY POLICY
It is the policy of Protea Security ltd and its staffs to provide a consistent standard of security services which conform to the requirements of our customers, incorporating the highest possible standard of professionalism, using up-to-date technology and training procedures which are recognised by Certification to Industry standards. Our aim is to provide this high quality of service through following a process approach and the effective application of continual improvement as an essential part of our operation in our quest for continuous service. We believe this approach to a Quality Improved System will strengthen our reputation and relationship with customers.
Protea Security ltd adheres to the following principles to achieve the above objectives:
Complying with appropriate codes of practice:
- BS EN ISO 9001:2008 Quality Systems Model for Quality Assurance.
- BS EN ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System
- BS 7499:2002 for Static Site Guarding
- BS 7858:1996 for Security Screening of Personnel employed in the Security Environment.

The Director of Protea Security ltd has overall responsibility for the formulation, implementation and monitoring of the policy. Protea Security ltd is committed to a programmed of action to ensure that this policy is effective by:
- Advising Senior Management and other appropriate members of staff and committees of the company in matters of equal opportunities in employment.
- Providing training and guidance in the equal opportunities policy and those provisions, relevant to their responsibilities of the Equal Opportunities Legislation detailed below:
- Stating on relevant material that it is an equal opportunities employer.
- Ensuring that all material will be consistent with the company's equal opportunities policy.
- Including a reference to the equal opportunities policy in terms and conditions of employment and asking new employees to confirm that they have read the policy as part of their terms and conditions of employment.

ENVIROMENTAL POLICY
Protea Security Ltd recognises the need for sustainable development and continually aims to improve the environmental effect of its activities.
In achieving sustainable development we have established sound environmental management objectives by:
- Meeting or improving upon relevant legislative, regulatory and environmental codes of practice.
- Developing objectives that target environmental improvements and monitor performance by regular review.
- Considering any environmental issues in the decision-making process.
- Developing a relationship with suppliers and contractors so that we all recognise our environmental responsibilities.
- Educating staff so that they carry out their activities in an environmentally responsible manner.
Provide for the effective use of resources by:
- Promoting waste minimisation by recycling or finding other uses of by-products whenever economically viable.
- Promoting the efficient use of resources, energy and fuel throughout the company's operations.
Co-operate with:
- The communities in which we operate.
- The government, regulatory bodies and other interested parties with the shared vision of being a good and trusted neighbour.
Management is committed to continual improvement and the prevention of pollution.
Measures are in place in essential core areas of the business, indicating how well the business is performing. Additionally, data is gathered to determine success in continually satisfying the expectations of the customer.
Environmental objectives and targets for the coming year will be set by the Managing Director at the
Quality Management Review at the beginning of each year and the previous years' objectives and
targets' will be reviewed, as well as this Policy.
This Policy will be communicated to all employees of Protea Security Ltd, their contractors and critical suppliers

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY
The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (the Act) places a duty on every employer and, as often as may be appropriate to revise, a written statement of his general policy with respect to the health and safety at work of his employees and the organisation and arrangements for carrying out that policy, and to bring the statement to the notice of his employees. The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health 1989 (C.O.S.H.H.) also requires the employer to protect employees from substances deemed as Hazardous to Health.
